Mushroom Cultivation (P. azurescens)  
Color photos of a 10 square meter bed of Psilocybe azurescens. In May the patch was covered with sawdust from a woodmill (not treated with any chemicals), then watered(soaked) and inocculated with 30 day old (liquid) inocculated grain at a rate of approx. 2 kg of grain/m2. [Netherlands]

This was then covered with an anti weed plastic (that allows water to pass through). The plastic was weighed down with some sand. Temperatures in Holland are approx. 10-25 degrees celsius (50-77 F) from May until September. [Netherlands]

In september the plastic is removed and the woodshavings turned into one firm block of mycelium. This is covered with a layer of commercial mushroom sand. A sheet of gardening cloth is placed over it to prevent the soil from drying out. [Netherlands]

In November the temperature drops to approx. 4-8 degrees Celsius (40-45 F) which induces the Azurescens to fruit until first frost. [Netherlands]
