Nutmeg in Water

Grind 6 nutmeg nuts (approx 30g or 1 ounce) into a powder. I use a coffee grinder. If you don't have strainer just break the nuts into large chunks using a mortal & pestle. I reccommend grinding.
Now chuck this into 750 ml of water (3 cups) and simmer without boiling over a stove for 1 hour. The water will be reduced by about 30% so your end result will be approx 500 ml of tea.
After the one hour strain the nutmeg out and let the tea cool. Then sweeten w/ honey (play around with this to see what you like best) and drink.
Note: **IMPORTANT** Do not cool the tea down to where it is noticably cold (test it with your finger). If it is noticably cold, and there is a white precipitate on the sides of your cup re-heat the tea and re-dissolve the white precipitate. You will only get minimal effects if you don't pay attention to this.
Sources: Getting nutmeg is very easy, but getting it cost effectively might be a bit trickier. Get only whole nutmeg, don't waste your time with the pre-ground stuff. If you get your nutmeg at the supermarket it will probably be about $5 / 1.5 oz. This is ok I guess, but if you search out your local herb stores you can find prices (at least in my area) that are about $1/ oz.
Effects: They begin within 15 minutes and last (estimated) 3 or 4 hours. It is very similiar to cannabis.

Tried it a few times. Use a very fine grater, ex. a nutmeg grater, and grate 1-3 nuts into 2 dl (20 cc's) of milk. Heat on "very low" for 15 to 30 minutes, until milk is reduced by half (if it burns, dump and start over). Pour into glass, along with the "nutmeg mush", and fill up to initial amount. Drink all at once: Pour down your throat without tasting - it tastes awfully bitter!!!! High by body chemestry and amount, plane in about 2 hours, last up to 6-7 hours.
The reason for heating is that the active ingredient, myristicin, is oil based (reacts almost as THC) - and low heat is partly due to the milk, partly so as not to have the active ingredient evaporate.
If this is your first time, maybe use 1/2 a nut to begin with, and remember to eat a light meal first, if you haven't eaten up to 6 hours previously. Don't mix with alcohol.
Nutmeg in Chocolate Breakfast Drink

Many people indicate that the flavour of nutmeg is nauseatingly overpowering when consuming grams of it and that there's no real point in trying to disguise that.
In fact, experience would indicate that mixing it into something like a chocolate meal replacement or breakfast drink keeps it in suspension very succesfully and makes it much more palatable. This was something of a surprise, given the consistently negative experiences reported, though the still powerful flavour and slight grittiness the nutmeg imparts to the drink is clearly detectable nonetheless.
Using a coffee bean grinder to finely grind the nuts works very well. One should be aware that the natural oils the nuts contain results in a slightly damp and cohesive (read sticky) substance, not a dry powder. That does not seem to interfere with the ability to mix in a milkshake-like liquid and remain in suspension (with occasional stirring) long enough to consume with minimal discomfort.
